Creation of new classes of nanocomposites "polymer / carbon nanomaterial"
The introduction of multilayered carbon nanotubes into the matrix of isotactic propylene promotes the supramolecular organization of polymer molecules, which leads to an increase in the degree of crystallinity of the nanocomposite. According to the developed techniques it is possible to raise the temperature of thermo oxidative degradation of the polymer by almost 60 degrees due to the introduction of a small amount of CNT (up to 2%) into polyethylene. Also we could increase electrical and thermal conductivity of composite materials. New composites based on medical polymers (fluoroplastics, polypropylene, etc.) we could reforce with carbon nanotubes, are substantially different from existing analogs used as prosthetic and suture materials, improved performance and better biocompatibility.
